-
Cataract surgery is traditionally the removal of the cloudy cataract lens inside the eye and replacement with a clear new lens. New technologies afford the opportunity to simultaneously correct astigmatism and presbyopia (need for reading glasses), and even to treat glaucoma.
-
Refractive lens exchange allows for surgical correction of refractive error and presbyopia, allowing for glasses-free vision.
-
Multiple procedures ranging from in-office laser to minimally invasive surgeries, including the use of microscopic stents, can be employed to lower the pressure in patients with glaucoma.
-
We help patients with dry macular degeneration to optimize their risk factors for progression. Patients with wet macular degeneration may benefit from treatment with injection.
-
We screen diabetic patients for development of complications in the retina. Some patients may be eligible for further treatment.
-
We provide high quality eyeglass refraction and have an in-house optical staffed by the wonderful Kim Orr.
-
Our optical team expertly fits and dispenses standard, astigmatism-correcting, and multifocal contact lenses.
-
We rely on our eyes to work together to give us seamless three-dimensional binocular vision. Misalignment of the eyes (strabismus) can lead to the sensation of seeing double (diplopia). Our practice excels in the medical and surgical care of strabismus and diplopia.
